SDSU's Miles Byrd Withdraws from 2025 NBA Draft

Miles Byrd is withdrawing his name from the 2025 NBA Draft and returning to San Diego State University, he tells League Him.

“I’m returning to school to graduate, get stronger, fine-tune my game and win a national championship,” says Byrd.

His decision comes off the heels of a standout season for the Aztecs, where he averaged 12.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.1 steals per game and earned a spot on the All-Mountain West Conference 2nd team.

The 20-year-old 6’7” guard’s feel for the game, versatile shot-making, active defensive presence, and length (6’10” wingspan) make him an intriguing prospect with first-round potential for the 2026 NBA Draft.

Byrd recently participated in the 2025 NBA Draft Combine in Chicago, where he intrigued NBA teams with his performance and measurables.

“I was going to stay in with a guarantee from an NBA team, and despite a lot of interest from multiple organizations, it was too early in the process for them to give me one,” says Byrd.
